The hungriest wolf…

I hope everyone had a terrific week! With the week off, I didn’t leave the house much and just focused on recovery and relaxation.

Challenge Update: This week was a great success. My seasonal cold has been lingering so I did a lot of relaxing, a little bit of studying, and a lot of planning. I’m feeling ready and motivated to tackle this last block of my pre-clinical studies before entering my dedicated study period for our board exams.

New Challenge: I’ve been a bit frustrated with myself lately for my lack of ability to just stop working in the evening. This week I am challenging myself to have a hard cutoff time. After 6 pm, I’m dropping all things work to relax and enjoy my time with my family.

Favorites of the week:

  1. 🍽️ Recipe: Creamy Garlic Pork Chops

This one was surprisingly quick, it only took us about 20 mins to whip it up! It was also delicious and I used some of what I learned in this recipe to craft my own buffalo chicken ramen the following day!

2. Quote: With Formula 1 starting again this week (sigh at the result of this morning’s Grand Prix), I binged the new season of Drive to Survive as a bit of a recap before the start of the new season. This was a quote from Valtteri Bottas that I really liked. You can’t wait for the good things in life to come to you, you have to go get them yourself.

The hungriest wolf runs the farthest.

- Finnish proverb

3. 🤓 Thing I Learned: Sometimes, the smallest actions are the ones that people hold onto the tightest.

4. 📚 What Marin is Reading: *The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck - Mark Manson

  • Marin is enjoying this book a lot. She really likes Mark’s writing style and says that it is really easy to read and he makes it easy to understand the message that he is trying to get across.
